Cool Erosion Control

We were recently in a creek in Western Illinois. This creek flows into the Illinois River. We have found some really nice pieces in the area just not that day. Then we came across these. Took a minute to figure out they were put there for a reason. Erosion control. Anybody else ever see something like this? Thanks for lookin, sixeight
