I found this out metal detecting with my Nox. They are both Philadelphia mint coins, both in the same hole. Even though it is modern, it is still pretty cool. Both coins have some wear on them so it might not be a 1916 drop, it could be someone who saved the coins and lost them or buried them. I think this could be true because these were deeper than buttons I had found in the same area.

Last year Barber dime and first year Mercury. Imagine living back then and having these as normal pocket change with seated liberty dimes probably being fairly common too but already being viewed as getting old - but not old enough to justify keeping just yet.

Beautiful pair of dimes. Judging by the amount of wear on the Mercury dime, which is very little, I'd estimate that those dimes were dropped somewhere around 1918 or 1919.

They are really nice finds. :0what happens to a lot of machines.
I myself used to take coin pictures of my coins on my detector. I liked showing what machine was used to find them., When i looked and your pictures I seen quite a few scratch marks on your screen. I also noticed you had a screen protector on your nox. I see a lot of peoples detectors that have there screens scratched up. i just try and keep my detectors as clean as possible. I am not telling you what to do. i am just pointing out what happens to a lot of screens
