Uncle found this coin and is wondering what it is. It’s pretty baked and I can’t really make out any letters. It also has a hole in it. It seems to be copper and is about the size of a quarter. Any guesses are appreciated.

So far looks like Rhode island brass half penny

No clue really, need better pictures, give a slight shadowed angle to pick up writing. Someone with better eyes and more patience than me.
