Copper ring? Age?

Sorry I dont have better pics, i will take one when i get a new camera. I found this ring in a really old park about 4 inches down. It looks copper. Does anyone have an idea how old it could be? Other possible materials? What stone could have been in the center? Thanks in advance.

Without any markings its really hard to tell you anything about your ring. Could have been silver plated even at one time .As far as the stone.....hope you looked all around where you dug the ring....I have taken to sifting the around the hole when I dig a ring or bracelet with missing gems....Sorry I cant help you more
