You need to provide more information. Presumably the second picture shows the gem in natural light. How was the colouration in the first picture produced? Different illumination? UV light? Or what?

It looks to be a cabochon, so presumably didn't come out of the ground like that? If that's the case, it has presumably come from a piece of jewellery that could have been made elsewhere, with no particular connection to Tanzania. If from jewellery, what can you tell us about the piece it came from? It would have to have been made no earlier than the late 1960s.

Note that, apart from a small quantity of fragmentary material from the initial discovery in 1967, raw Tanzanite is not blue/violet/purple. Mostly it's reddish brown through to brownish or almost clear and the blue-purple hues are man-made enhancements, artificially produced by heat treatment.
