What is the name of the stuff that can split a quartz vein? If I remember right there were a couple companies that make this stuff. I have always been a placer miner but now will be working a quartz vein so needing new tools. This stuff was supposed to be a non-explosive method that when poured into say a drilled hole in quartz will expand and crack the quartz. Any other suggestions are welcome too!

call Dexpan & inquire about temperature range. They didn't inform me & ended up costing $ & still didn't get the temp I needed.
was 3 temps available.
there are other brands; to shop prices.
properly done it should work overnight. My attempt w/ wrong temp mix took 1 1/2 weeks.

Thanks One Blanket I did notice on the Home Depot page they had 3 Temp. ranges. I'll buy the bottom two ranges just to be safe as it's a 3 hour drive or so to this mine.
