CTX 06 coil

ctx small coil.webpIt took awhile for my local dealer to get a few of these coils. He sold all of them the same day he got them. In fact myself and another buyer were at his shop waiting on their delivery and bought ours as soon as they were unpacked. Worth the wait! Next day I tested my coil on a very trash laden site and pulled a 1923 Mercury dime as my second coin target.

Thats good news. I am trying both the 6" and 17" coil out this weekend.

I tried the 17" coil and didn't get any extra depth when detecting or air testing.

The 17" should gain a little depth. The 6" should lose a little. The 17" is similar to the 18x15 sef coil for the etrac and se pro. In that case, it definitely goes deeper with identical settings used to compare the stock and the 17" coil.

I didn't see any noticeable change. I hope you have better results. Let me know...

Will do. I'm also trying out the 6" coil. (Old parks and churches)

Both the 6" and 17x13" coils are amazing. The 6" target separation is better than the 11". The 17x13" can cover about double the ground area and go slightly deeper. The 6" is slightly shallower than the 11". I had a great weekend. I'll post my coins tomorrow in today's finds.
