Went for a short hunt today. Got permission for the curb strip just down from the last yard in which I found an Indian and Silvers in that I had already hunted in the past.
Slow start, but got an 1800’s V Nickel, couple of Wheats, captain Midnight token, and a little play money piece. Fun altogether!!
V Nickel-1889
Wheats-1928,1945D,1948D
Thanks for looking & Happy Hunting!!!!

wow, that V nickel is in great shape. One of the best I've seen. Interestingly enough, I've gotten 2 of those captain midnight tokens this year, thanks for the info!

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: You need permission to detect a curb strip? Around here, that patch of ground is owned by the local government.....no permission necessary.

Those curb strips are great hunting! I started hunting them last year. I've pulled lots of wheats but no silvery... YET. Where there's wheat, there's silver. Nice going!

Technically, I don't think you do. From a public relations perspective, it can't hurt. I'll admit that I usually go early Sats and Suns. A lot of the homes in front of these strips have been converted into Attorneys' offices, etc. There's never anyone with a tie on at those offices that early on a weekend. So, no one to ask permission of. But, as you said, I'm not actually on their property and wouldn't touch it without WRITTEN permission (lawyers).

Thanks Cudamark!! People are funny around here, plus the guy already rudely shot Me down on his yard, so maybe this way he may change his mind. I’ll go back in a few months and try to hunt his yard again. If he says no, then I’ll go back next year🀣I have a method πŸ˜‚
