After a little rain this morning I went back to the old place I located yesterday. LOTS of iron signals and some of it is pretty old stuff. I left a pile of it next to a tree, but wagon hub rings, single tree rings, a couple of broken cast iron pieces, and plenty of nails.

Today wasn’t a total loss though, I got an old pocket knife and what I thought was going to be my first coin, but it turned out to be a very ruined memorial cent. I know there’s going to be some silver here, I just need to clean up the other “clutter” first.

Hopefully I’ll be back in a few weeks.

Welcome to TreasureNet.

Amen to that, you just have to persevere and work your way through it. Before I dug the knife I’ll bet I had dug 20 or so lead capped nails. Dig em all!

Yes, there certainly has to be some goodies there.
