I don't know of any detecter with vibration capabilities , but i'm sure some Tech savvy person could rig something up that would be effective in the form of a vibrator or flasher of some sort , being deaf should not exclude you from enjoying this great pastime , good luck ..cheers Mick

Put a small vibrating motor in the handle. Guy on another forum did it.

before I ever bought a Minelab detector I met & talked to a Deaf man using a
Minelab Excalibur in a Club Hunt.

I don't think he had anything Special. just the Vibration from the Headhones.

This was back in '97 or '98 only thing I can suggest, Let him try yours,
& see if he can feel the vibration of a target with his ears.

If that doesn't work, Try putting the headphones on his Neck

I have a friend at work that is totally deaf and has expressed interest in detecting. Does anyone know of a detector and/or accessories that will give a vibratory signal along with a visual display that's not just a pinpointer?

Sure someone can mod it to vibrate. The Whites Beach Hunter has LEDs that light up he can see.

We will NOT go quitely into the night!

I saw factory made for sale vibrator, but dont remember what company name was. Google and you will found it.

You don't see many metal detecting videos using the Vibra-Probe,I wonder why, being water roof to 100 feet makes me want to buy one.
