I like doing unusual photos (I say artsy, my wife and daughter say "weird"), and kinda liked how this one came out.

The original shot was the two leaves on a cement footing I had poured years ago. There were some fragments of pine straw which I removed to create the background.

Then I took another image of just flowers and foliage and converted it to greyscale. Duplicated that layer and flipped it vertically. Next I combined the two layers using "soft light" blend mode into a single layer. Then i took the resulting layer and again applied "soft light", varying the opacity until it looked like I wanted (really dark).

Next, I applied some lighting effects. Hope you guys like it.

I say way cool!! I would say pretty nice art photography and I have seen a lot over the years, VERY good work. When asked if I'm an artist I reply no, but sometimes I do draw flies in the summer time.
