detector find

this was just given to me. friend of mine found it in a dumpster. still works but the gound adjustment knob is broke. so it will only find surface targets.. think its worth fixing? or can u bypass it to run full deep

It is a old 840 bounty hunter I had one about 20 yrs ago not a bad detector found a lot of silver with it. You sould be able to get it fix. Good luck...Matt

The faceplate looks exactly like my BH Red Baron 5 (bought it new back in 1979 and still have it ). You could probably fix that gb knob issue, unless the problem is in the circuitry. They are very simple on the inside. I've "repaired" mine many times.

i still wonder why people need 'relic machines' this thing will find the stain left by a nail in dry ground.
