Spring season is starting to wind down already with some planting underway.

Hit three different sites, and got almost as many ticks as finds. (not many finds)

Got what I though was my first piece of real silverware, but alas even with all the marks on it, it is just an old fake, so still no real silverware.

Third site of the day had some planting started, this is where the bell came from, and I didn't need the detector to find it, it was sitting high, and dry on top of the ground. I made a 180 turn for the next pass, and there it was 10 feet away. Got video, and a witness.

Also found a pretty cool looking old lighter I think will stay in the collection, one musket ball, the white on blue glass is pretty neat as the white parts are raised above the surface of the blue, like it was added on ?

The last pic is what digging bud ND got. A broken skeleton key (we think), two buttons, one recycled with two added holes, and the little procelain doll.

Nice digs. I like the bell. Is Navy Davy's double holed button a "whizzer" toy? Glad you got out.

Military, that be cool.

Silverware handle, but fake (only plated), not worth a picture.

Me too, it's the biggest "round" bell so far. Judging from the hole spacing on the button, I'd say you are right.

I would say the Silver is real, the makers mark looks ok to me, I have found similar coins and pieces that have the flaking on the edge.
