Finally got some rain here, ground has softened up and it feels like fall in the evening. Which means I had to escape after work.

There is an old farm down the road which has a lot of history and trash which is public land now. Ive found an 1800's button, silver jewelry, horse tack, etc here. I got my 1st indian from this location (186* something) on Monday night so I had to go back. I went up close to where the house was, which I pretty much skipped over when I was a new detectorist with an AT pro. I took the equinox with the 6" coil this time and bumped the iron discrimination down a notch. Dug a few interesting things, a piece of a spoon, button. Everything had multiple nails in the hole. Then I got a nice high tone 25 vdi in two directions, so I dug. It was only a couple inches down, there were at least 2 or 3 nails next to it.

At first I thought maybe it was a nickel due to thickness but they don't ring up 25 usually. Then I thought it was a fatty IHP, which I haven't gotten one yet until i hit it with some water.

So far I can read "Seal Pressing and Cancelling Hand Stamps" on one side and "Manufr. of Metallic Cards West 4th St Cin. O"

I'm assuming its a civil war store token, its actually in good shape. I still need to clean it up.
