I've tried making curves on bronze and coat hanger rods. The curve is on the bottom wrapped with copper wire and gives good counterbalance weight also. The response on the hanger rods was so improved, was so easy to pick out coins or jewelry in drawers at home. Top rod points same direction as bottom curve. You don't notice as much difference, using bronze as with coat hanger type.

You can bend curve toward the ground. Here is the extreme example but they work extremely well. Made from old glossy black hangers, twice as much thin copper wire. Too thick copper is not only heavy but doesn't wrap very neatly unless in a wide enough spiral.

Reminds me of a rod I saw in a book, it was held down along your leg. Looked like an l-rod but had a sharp bend near the tip so the tip was pointing back something like a 30 degree angle if you measure the bend.

Then you stand with the rod hanging down along the side of your leg and move the whole rod in and out of your energy field. The rod stays hanging down pretty much straight down the whole time. So you turn your direction a ways and repeat. When you are facing the right direction you can feel that energy filed surrounding you.

This thing is similar to rubbing the palms of your hands together for sixty seconds and then hold them near each other without touching and feel the energy. That’s the same energy between two L-rods. Holding the rod down along your leg has a more powerful effect. Not saying this is easy,

You can even use this technique to see/feel how much dowsing energy you have at that time. I really need to go back and read it again because I think you work the other hand, too.

Plenty of dowsers still around who prefer copper rods.
