✅ SOLVED Dragon thing

I dug this up this afternoon. It has identical dragon motifs on either side and the design on top. I think it might me silver-plated copper. In any case, it is not magnetic.

I thought of a match-safe top, but I don't think it's all that old. My girlfriend suggested it might be something that goes over the end of a knife handle.

It looks like the end of a samurai sword maybe

I'd say it's most likely the decorative end cap to a samurai sword handle.
