Good job. Thanks for doing that.
You're a good man Creskol, Thank you
Thank you very much. I think the plots you are seeing are the graves I have located and put stakes in place to mark the graves. Before, they had no idea how many graves there were. Since this cemetery is a black cemetery, many of the unmarked graves probably didn't have a stone. I have located 15-20 stones that were missing, some broken into pieces which a restored, and have put them back into place. Below is a photo of the graves I have located:Your a credit to the community! I've a question, I see the plots on the right side. do you think the headstones are buried?
I'm curious how you located them.I think the plots you are seeing are the graves I have located
I used my 5' spring steel probe primarily, and by thumping.I'm curious how you located them.
A simple "like" is always good enough... dont wanna make you type too much... :PThank you Arc.
The ones that I have been able to identify, I have made semi-permanent markers for. They are the white markers with the black name plaques as seen in the photo below. Since I am footing the costs of the restoration myself, I couldn't possibly afford to have actual monuments made.Do you have any records of the unmarked sites, like names or families? It would be great if it was possible to place a stone on the ones you can.
