Nice photos. Why does the big stone have old rail fencing around it?

Mike
That's one I've had in a couple of other posts, delnorter and have no idea. It's on that road between Henderson Mill and Williams Fork Reservoir. Lot of speculation, and I thought it might mark the site of an old school. My second guess was 'We can't move this rock out of the pasture so we'll build a fence around it to keep the cattle away.' If I ever see one of the locals around there I'll find out. Cool that eagle is using it for a roost now.

Nice pics. More and more eagles around now. It's good to see. That last pic of the stream is my idea of a perfect size fly fishing river. Water needs to drop about a third, though, so I can just get in and wade up current, hitting all the pocket water. It's been too many years. Thanks for that.

It looks like the Rock was placed on a mound of dirt. Maybe it's a burial. It's quit intriguing to me. Now I want to know if there are carvings on it. Next time don't drive by. Stop and investigate. Please.

I have checked it out. No carvings and pretty sure it's not a burial of some kind. Hang on, I'll get the lowdown some day.
