I found this while metal detecting the beach at Gulf Shores. It rang up silver and at first glance I thought It was a rock or a piece of melted metal until I turned it over and saw that it was a heart pendant encrusted from being in the Gulf for some time.
I looking for suggesting on how to remove the build up w/o damaging the find. I'm thinking electrolysis.
Has anyone else found an encrusted item and were able to free it from its bonds?
