Had myself a good day out in the fields again here in Ohio. Found a large site off an old abandoned road, looks like it’s never been hit before. Got a 1869 Ihp right off the bat followed the nickel, 1881 ihp and then a 1899 ihp. There’s also a old pre 1850s sawmill on the maps, decided to go looking for it and I stumbled across what I assume to be a small log cabin, starter home. Recovered the 1835 capped bust half dime here along with some flat buttons.

Thus we see the payoff for doing good research and legwork. The finds ain,t gonna jump in the pouch by themselves.Kudos Fentonian! May you find more.
Research is key for this hobby, it seems to be about a 2:1 ratio. Two hours of researching to every hour of actual hunting.
