Got out to our favorite park this weekend and had to look in some new places. On Sat. Bob found 2 shield nickles in one hole! He also found a cool 1950's scout slide and a war nickle. I found the biggest lock I ever dug but not very old. Also a weird looking heavy iron thing. I also got a crusty V nickle. Sunday, same park, different area. 20 minutes in, Bob hollared at me to get over to him. In the hole on edge was an obviously large silver coin. I woulda already had that snatched out!! He pulled it out and WOW! A Barber Half!! He is on cloud 9! I'm jealous. We kept hunting but only got some clad and wheaties. An odd round button thing and we don't know what the silver thing with the hole is but it is marked Sterling. Maybe a button back? If anyone knows what the iron things may be, please share. The woods were really pretty today so I had to share. The birds were singing nice too. It was a great weekend even though cool and windy. Have a great week everyone!

I'm not sure I ever have! It's just that the cars I own use Carter AFB's, so, that tag looked very familiar. I just looked it up in my Carter book to see if it fit one of my cars, and found the application.
