Does anyone have any info that would come from fifty mile mountain (also known as kaiparowits plateau) and the presence of the Spanish? Also anything on the native american tribes, settlers, etc. that have been in this area in the past couple hundred years. For those that are able to provide some info, thank you.

I'm not sure about the Spanish, Native Americans, most definitely, The Spencer Mine in 1900's had several working the area and the Paria River caused a small gold rush along its banks 1860's to 1900's, sporadic times threw the time frame. Metal detecting is not allowed around there nor is it legal for the Indian artifacts or the removal of some of the fossils found there because there all mostly vertebrates found there. The majority of the area has mining claims but some still attempt to pan the river or haul dirt off to pan at home.
