exploring slave canal and indian mound

My Dad and I went on this super historic canal dug by slaves in the 1850s. We also found an indian mound hidden away on the river. I hope you guys enjoy the hunt!

I'm pretty sure you hit the nail on the head. My Dad seems to remember hearing that they dug a shallow stream deeper. But if not, there would have still been water likely within easy walking distance because there are lots of places where the rivers pop out of the ground.

Thanks man. My grandpa (his dad) passed away at the beginning of the year, a wound that is definitely still very fresh. Thank you for reminding me of the blessing I still have!
