Here is my better and more interesting finds from the Fall. This was suppose to happen sooner and be a catch up post once Ironhorse was able to get out, but unfortunately that didn't happen. Based on both the short term and long term forecast it seems like the status of this one will go from catch up post to better final results. It's still a little early here for the freeze up to happen but doesn't look good to get out for much longer.

Quite a few of my finds are similar things as I've dug over the years but the massive trade weight, IHS Jesuit button and pieces of Serpent Sideplate were a few things that definitely were not on my radar to dig. Always hoped to one day dig a Jesuit trade ring as I could see that turning up among some early French finds but the sideplate was very unexpected and cool to see... and I was lucky getting a piece with the head. I'll be back at some point with a year end post showing it all... but I may give beach hunting a shot as I still have a new scoop to break in and no gold for the year, but we'll see what happens with that. :)

Don't see any of those finds every day. What a great collection of unique finds!

And here I was thinking you weren't hunting any more...not that I drop in that often anymore.
That first button pic. is as nice as your others, VERY nice.
Is that another wax seal too ?

Wow...you have been digging a lot of holes!
I feel bad for not being able to be there for some of those amazing finds but life dealt me a bad hand this fall and I missed all those great hunts.
The Jesuit button and the fob seal are really nice.
The assortment of coins and buttons are also very impressive.
You had a great run this fall ..congrats in those super finds!

Great to see you have gotten out, and dug a bunch of impressive recoveries once again.
Top shelf buttons once again, and well done on the silvers.

Wow, what variety, quality and age! A rich site or sites from the 1700s. A museum might (should!) be interested. Generating a provenance for each item would be interesting to many history buffs (like me!) I bet.

Nice recoveries, that's one heck of a lot of East Coast Canadian history right there.

Looking forward to your end of year update, fantastic finds. Spin the right piece of the side plate and it should line up with the lower jaw.
