Found at 1840's site rang up as lead and is heavy like it's lead. Appears to have like a coat of arms any ideas?

Looks like a bale seal, to me.

Bale seal #2 photo. The first photo by its self I would wondered as the detail is quite unique.
I finally turned the screen lighting up to max and now can see an upside down shield in the middle-heavy band running diagonally through it.

These horse harness mounts were often plated but all the plating comes off the pewter real easy.

Yeap, had a few. Some gold plated, some silver. Difficult to date, started in the late 18th C to mid-19th C which is where I think yours is.
