In the morning we got battered by storm Franklin, the 3rd named storm in just a week (another record) But at least we had very little rain & the 40 mph gusts (although it was pretty constant 35 ish) dried the top soil for a better afternoon session.
2 hours 50 mins:
18 mostly Scrappies (same as our last outing in identical timing as well)
English Jetton (I need)
1st C AD Roman Fibula (large & near complete)
Broken Roman Plate Brooch (some red enamel)
1st C AD Romano-Celtic Ring Bezel
14th C Medieval Buckle

After lunch we only did 1 hour 40 mins on the big grid as we were tired from trying to stay upright. (we are on an exposed hill top)
Just 1 German Jetton.

We saw the land manager doing a tour of the land looking for wind damage.

Wonder you only got storm and no rain. We got both and lots of it...
I don't know where all this rain comes from. No storm damage at home? We had good luck. Other than the greenhouse no losses.
The Fibula is stunning. This size near complete... some coins and nice Jetton. Do these Nurenberg Jettons turn up often in UK? Better condition than most.

Some trees & big branches plus Cru'dad lost a fence.

Nurenberg Jettons are very common, as they put the UK Jetton makers out of business. The English earlier ones like this 14th C star & moon are rarer.
