I agree! It would be nice to find a gold coin, but I'm a silver guy for sure!

For me it's the Mercury dime. Obviously not a huge windfall, but when I was a three years old I found one taped to the underside of a desk that my mom had brought home from a lawn sale. To this day I still feel a thrill when I see one – the coin that started it all.

A coin that puts a smile on my face every time is a large cent... I just love seeing any big copper come out of the ground! One of my bucketlisters is any Spanish silver... I've got a good feeling about this fall/winter.

My favorite coin to find is the ihp. I love the design and it never gets old when one pops out. A seated dime is my white whale. I've found fugios, state coppers, reales, called bust dimes, seated half dimes and etc. But after 5 years I've yet to dig a seated dime.

Mercury dimes are my personal fave coin design, I've only found so far, but every time I beep a dime signal, I always hope it's a Merc, lol

Hard choice between a Buffalo Nickel and a Mercury Dine. I'd go with the Nickel if I can make out the date.

I really enjoy finding Barber Quarters, and Walking Liberty Halves. That being said, even after over 30 years of detecting, I still get excited to see any old U.S. Copper or Silver come out of the dirt.

Found a few walking liberty halves, one of if not the best looking coin this country ever minted.

I have found one Peace dollar so I got the hard one but a Morgan is still high on my list.
