Found on an old barn site, not sure when it was torn down but there’s no trace of it on a 1950 aerial view. To my knowledge it was a field barn and there wasn’t a house in the area. That said my mind keeps going to part of a toy. I thought maybe a wheel but the pins are off set and the rings on either side aren’t centered either… still I feel like I’ve seen one before somewhere

Looks like you guys got it. That’s interesting. Always thought that it was a solo barn in a field. No evidence of power, or a house. To have chickens and an incubator I would assume you need power and want to keep them close to home… maybe there’s a house hiding out there somewhere

It seems that a broody hen just knows what temperature those eggs should be kept at.
