After a slow fishing morning decided to hit our spot one more time. As they say, never hunted out. Found a few buttons, a couple of buckle and my oldest coin ever.

Prize of the day, a 1660 Cob Coin. I believe its a half real from Peru. It was so small I am shocked I found it.

And boy did you.

Super well done... that is a stellar cob in my book... crisp and defined... which is rarer.

Advice... Go back asap.

Sweet. Thats a cut 1 Real. Hard to find a cob that didnt experience some weight reduction in my experience. Congrats

Thanks. I realize now the 1 on top is for 1 Real. It was really robbed of wait, its so tiny. Lucky for me the ID was still possible.

Amazing to have the date and denomination visible on such an early small coin. Not hard to imagine how someone could have lost this one.
