I got a text from my u/w detecting & diving partner Bill advising me that a pond we dove 20 years earlier had been drained for maintenance. I grabbed my Whites and headed over.
First off I see bottle and pottery shards on the ground along with early red brick.
The first swing netted me two early buttons with intact shanks. Next up at 18” deep behind a big rock was a pocket watch in the black mud. I also found an early brooch, a small ring and some bullets, going back this afternoon after it warms up a bit👍
