Finally got the chance to get out. Went to my local favorate spot. Been finding a lot of musket balls here the last 2 yrs and yesterday was no different, got about 1/2 a dozen. While swinging the coil and praying for colonial silver I got a great signal that indicated it was silver, 86 VDI on my XLT, but only 2 inches deep, I thought it was a clad quarter, much to my surprise out popped this beautiful KG, my first one with a readable date 1787 :headbang:, the oldest from this site so far, it's a little worn but I don't care, I can read the date. A short time later I got this great LC with a nice readable date also. A little sun burnt but thats ok it felt good to be out again. Thanks for looking Dean

Why do you think it's a CT copper, the date? ???

George III faces right and 1787 is an impossible date.
