Got out today after Church for the first hunt of the year. We went to a town about 40 minutes away. The town is pretty old and not super far from Where CW activity was.
My second signal was a War Nickel! 1943P. Then before We headed to the back yard I got a 1902 V Nickel, then a 1913 Buffalo. Also a few Wheats. Silver#1fty. Using the Coiltek 9x14" for the first time.
The first signal in the back yard I got this cool old looking buckle. No markings that I could see anywhere, but it looks super old. If anyone recognizes please do say.
Close to the end of the hunt I also pulled this small brass button with an anchor on it. Looks old too.
It was a decent first hunt and I hope many more this year for All of Us!!!
Happy Hunting!!!!

I think that buckle is called a buckle shield. I believe it would cover a harness buckle to prevent the horses tail from getting caught. My guess. Nice finds. Congrats!

Nice finds from back in January Randy.
Love that 'smiling' Anchor Button.

Here are a few buckle shields I found a number of years ago.
