I spent an hour swinging around old dock yesterday afternoon and managed to find my first thimble. It came out black and crusty so polished it up a bit. Then I found the barber dime on my way back to the truck

Wow cool find, I have dug at least twenty thimbles and that is nicer than any I've dug looks silver very cool nice coin too HH! PS- If there is an 'o' mintmark on reverse under wreath could be worth a little more. Take care.
