I had to sideline for awhile, too much quarreling, brand defensiveness, and seeing certain people waging war on others. It got to be too silly for me after awhile..

No comparisons, those are two completely different animals. And there is no standard for depth on any metal detector, there are too many variables involved; soil type, FE content, noise (AKA electrical interference), salts (various Na's), user skills, coil size, coil type, radiating search pattern, type of ground balance or ground exclusion balance, type of discrimination controls, and a host of various electronics being utilized in various different circuitry designs. Sometimes a cheap $60 detector will outdo one that cost $1000 to $3,000 too. Go to your local dealer, try before you buy, but join a club first to see which detectors work best for you and other club members, and in your soils. Soil composition can vary 10x (+ or -). :icon_thumleft:

Larry has a good point. But your soil is close to mine here in the mountains. About 57, right? To be honest, I don't think the F44 is going to do as much as your F75 or Tejon. I'm not going on experience though, and maybe someone else can verify.

I hunted for years with only using one detector with a simple back up. These days I am having fun playing with a lot of different machines. I suppose I will buy one and let you know.
