Fishing Plummet?

Hey guys, is this a fishing plummet? It was found at an Indian camp near a river. Seems very like one I found years ago. Only different is my first was a perfect ball on top. This one is perfect on one side, but not the other. I think it could be due to a poor stone choice that prevented that though.

Odd looking not sure if that would be a plummet maybe just a rough net weight looks like some nice artifacts in that display case ..... personal finds ?

Doesn't look like any Plummet I have ever seen and I have over 30. Not sure what it is but my gut says natural from what I can see in your pictures.

Strange and interesting wouldn't want to guess, That's all it would be, a guess.

I suspect it was used in weaving, but don't know.

Looks natural - Concretions that grew/stuck together of some kind.

Another possibility for a natural explanation is that it represents a fragment of a conglomerate rock.

I have a lot of plummets made of stone and shell. They can be extremely funky and crude especially if used as a weight instead of ornamentation... but there isn't one that you would question if man-made. Man-Used is another thing.. There are also natural funky stones with knobs and holes found on sites that were used expediently...
I'd like to see the piece in the case. The one you hold looks natural funky..would like to see the bottom of it, is it broken off?
