This one is a mix of Archaic stemmed, Bolens, Citrus, Culbreath, Hillsbourough, Newnan’s, Pinellas, Santa Fey and a reamer/drill....The beveled Bolens came from different sites...The Hillsbourough knife ( center) while not colorful is the finest I’ve ever found and it is extremely uniformly thin, the two faces are the same... The base is an unusual configuration, and the only one I’ve ever seen.... Dang! You have a really nice collection. One surprise to me is how big the Florida points are, generally speaking. Evidently lots of good flint sources down there. Gary

In the quarries, the flint flakes are 6” thick for acres, I know you’re not gonna believe that..I wondered how they moved around, sat down, etc while knappin.

Very nice! Yes that Hillsborough has a button base. Is the Newnan middle row left made of Petrified wood?
Raw coral, and he had a time with it...it’s the first point I ever found, not sure when, mid 50’s, Clearwater, Pinellas co....would love to show each point individually with comments, but doing it this way makes it easier all the way around, then like you, I’ll answer with a close up an a little info, thanks for lookin 041F4705-AA2C-4DBC-B328-45BB9A0B743E.jpeg
