Been interested since I was a kid.

In 1979 we found a huge anchor with Giant chain while snorkeling near Green Turtle Bahamas. No GPS or Loran back then. Used "dead reckoning" but we forgot about it. Never found it again.

Still look when I dive...

I have one. Am considering a better one for scuba. Thing is, the area where this was is many square miles. Would probably need something you drag behind the boat. Half the anchor was covered by coral and the chain (which was huge links) disappeared into the coral and rose back out.

This was in 1979, so lots could have changed. It may have already been slavaged.
