Follow-up: I'm a little disappointed in the cast iron muffin pan I found earlier.

After picking and cleaning and cleaning and picking, I discovered that the muffin pan isn't as old as I thought it might be. Although it is the real McCoy, it wasn't produced until 1984. It is called a John Wright lamb and lion popover mold. Since then, a lot of reproductions have been made, but this isn't one of them.
