Hi folks,

I'm wandering over to a neck of the woods I do not know at all. I post in Native American Artifacts.

This is most definitely a fossil (broken) of some sort. However, it appears to have a horned race carved into it. It has the two horns, nose, eyes, and face profile. The eyes and nose are raised and appear to be carved around. The horns are carved meaning not raised.

It was found in a prolific Native camp site. Tomahawks, axes, adze, pottery, and all sorts of points were found there not by me. I've only found points there and some beads I believe.

What do you guys think. What is this?

I am going to have it looked at by someone with a microscope see if it was really carved. The horns are I identical, eyes I identical, nose exactly a nose. It's to much to be just weathered that way

Honestly, can't make out jack squat from the photos, they are so dark, small and blurry. Will need to post better pictures to ID.

If you tilt it to the left, close one eye, squint the other... you will see that it's still just a natural rock. Dont waste your time having it examined .
