Hello everyone. Got back out to my Seminole war fort today. Found this coat sized Artillery button with a United States back mark.
Also found a couple musket balls and the 69 caliber one was wormed.
Also found this mystery piece. It’s made of brass and the top portion was made to swivel. Any ideas what it could be I would appreciate it.
Thanks for looking and happy hunting to all!

Congratulations on another good hunt. You always find nice old buttons and cool relics on your sites. I’m pretty sure the brass piece is an older style drawer pull. I have seen a number like it on antique furniture over the years.

Good work, stay safe and keep swingin.

Thanks TNT. I should have thought of that. Now that you mention it, that’s exactly what it is. Thank you!

GREAT FINDS....my guess would be a part off a pistol...the lower butt to keep it attached to a lanyard (Dragoons/cavalry)
