Paid a visit to a new site i researched to see how hard its been hit before me, .. evidently not that hard, or maybe even not at all, but definitely worth a few more trips back. first signal was this SWEET!!! civil war era NY Button " headbang " then this SWEET!! coin silver watch back with an awesome horse riders design, early 20th century i imagine. also found a cheap ring and a nice decorative buckle. i dont know much about Coke bottles but this looked pretty vintage with a nice green tint so i grabbed it, only the bottom of it was sticking out of the ground. the LCent was behind the cellar hole in the brush, its a toasted holed 1837.... i think the button alone made the trip worth it, then finding that watchback was the iceing, ... thanks and enjoy, .. Pro-

The watch case is "icing". I like it.

I would continue to hunt that place within a 100 - 200 yard radius from that site. Congrats.

Way to go! Love the watch back. Very attractive as well as being silver. These type of finds keep it interesting.

In my area, cellars were non existent due to ground water table and hurricanes every few years. Must be nice!! I went to hunt an old home site a few months ago and was trying in vain to ground balance my Tesoro Vaquero. Then I realized my problem...all of the old roofing TIN was laying under the carpet of leaves that exists there!!! I wasn't in the mood to move the untold number of metal sheets since they were crumbling and breaking into little worthless targets!!
