I’m hoping someone who knows about iron working could tell me what this style is called or possibly have any knowledge of it. I found it completely buried under a rotting wood pile. One of the local schools here has a blacksmith class and I asked the instructor about it. He said it was called “hot wrapped iron”. I did a search of that and came up empty. It’s a very sturdy table that has absolutely zero flex or looseness to it. The legs are probably an inch to an inch and a half thick in other parts of the iron rod is 3/4 inch thick. It seems impossible for the average person to build something like this as solid as it is.

You could probably make or have a wooden top made for it. It would make a good coffee table if it is the right height. Or even a nice dining room table. It will definitely be sturdy.

That's a beautiful find, it would definitely make for a great looking coffee table with a thick glass top. I wouldn't do anything to the paint either, it looks incredible just the way it is.

That's a real nice recovery.

Did you keep it, or leave it?
Certainly worth a few $$$, in the repurpose market place.

Got to love the comments that when the OP says "Hot wrapped iron" and somebody states its brass. :laughing7:

I definitely kept it. It’s sitting in my yard until I get it all figured out. Id really like to find an old bank window with the half inch thick blue tint glass to have cut for the top.

1965-1989 glass table Steel frame. The pads are so the glass didn't get scratched by the metal. I bet you could find one like it for sale online.
