That's like a domestic turkey, ain't it? How is the oil patch doin down there? My nephew works on rigs down around Elk City, OK, but it's hit or miss. At least he still has all his fingers. It ain't nothin like it was back in the 80's, and the pay is cheaper.

domestic of course. we mostly drill for gas anymore.as long as it stays $5 or more per 1000 qubic ft wi'll stay busy.this rig is going to be down for two months.we moved from texas to ND of all places for the oil boom in late 70's.the guys on this rig had to take a 2 dollar pay cut.so the low man on the floor still gets 18hr.

Very neat looking turkey...
I'm not too sure I've ever seen a black & white one before...
One things for certain, if I have, it's been way too many years back to remember it... ;D

They sure do have an ugly head, but they make up for it with their feathers!

Nice picture. On occasion I run across some albino or white wild turkeys in the the mtns. Beautiful birds as Ben Franklin pointed out. Was around the oil boom in Texas in the 80's peanut butter was about $7.00 a jar. Heck we did not care everyone was flush.
Thanks for the pics.
