🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Found a Wagon Hub Today. Age?

Anyway to put a date
to this wheel hub I found today? I'm pretty sure it's the core of an old wood spoked wagon or cart wheel. Found in an old overgrown farm field outside of Stamping Ground. Ky. 6 inches down. Thanks

How long is it? In the pic it looks cast iron? They were used on many other things beside wagons, but Kentucky Wagon Co used them on "farm trucks" in very early 1900. Starting in the late 1800's Springfield ,and Henderson wagon works(Henderson KY) used them on logging trucks?

It's 7 1/2" long. One opening is 2.5" diameter. The other is 2" diameter. All I could find with the alternating holes were for wood spokes but I know nothing about them or there construction. I didn't even know what it was till I did a google image search. It is cast iron yes.

Being that small I'm thinking 2 horse wagon?

I would have said antique automobile as well. Did they make saws able to cut those metal straight edge shapes that far back in time?

Looks to be for a heavy wagon - agriculture related perhaps
