E LATE 16 TH CENTURY IT IS COPPER AND SHAPED LIKE A FISH . HAD THIS NAIL IN CENTER HOLE

Neat and congrats.

Haven't a clue but seems like the nail may have been bent over to keep from getting things caught on it.
The other 5 holes seem to have been created from something being driven into the opposite side of the piece. Wonder if it could have been a primitive "coat" rack?

With only one nail it would have pointed down unless the five holes were what attached it to a horizontal surface.
