Found in spring

Anyone have any idea what year this could have been from ? Found stuff 1850s and up it?s pretty heavy and I don?t see any maker name on it . Has anyone ever seen one like this ? Is it a toy or something else? Thanks for looking

That's a toy copy of a top break revolver. The real ones were popular in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Real ones were made by Iver Johnson, Smith & Wesson, H & R and others. Gary

That is actually an old toy water pistol. It would have had a rubber bulb for the "grips"
