found my first button. Need some help with ID

I was in Kentucky this week. I had some time to do some digging. This is what I found. I need some help with the button ID. I also have a what's it it has numbers on it. YC K1656.

Your button is a Great Seal one. They are military and first appeared in 1901. Your button dates after 1910 when a rim was added. It appears that your button has a black finish on it and that would date it from 1910 to 1923. Is there any lettering on the back?

Nice button! The "what's it" looks like an old door knocker although I could be way off. Either way nice finds and happy hunting!

As small as it appears, it probably is a drawer pull. It is missing a part. You can do an image search for " drop drawer pulls".

Sorry to bump this really old thread, but I just stumbled on it from Google as the only match when looking for a replacement drawer pull for one that was broken off a dresser while moving.

No luck finding such a thing, but for closure on that particular item, here's what it looks like intact 😉

Thanks for the picture. I just got back to treasure net. I love this site. In 2016 I had a house fire and lost it all. I will be getting a new detector this year.
