Well I found this arrowhead in a small creek in North Carolina while I was gold panning.. I dont know anything about it and I was hoping somebody could tell a thing or two... Its in near Perfect condition no chips or dings anywhere. Its pretty thin aswell. Is something like this pretty common? What era was it most likely made? I appreciate any information! Thanks

Not even close to an expert but looks to be a Kirk to me, may have been reworked one or twice.
~5k-9000 years bp I think.
Anyone would love to have found that one, grats!

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania (USA).

2nd - You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: North Carolina for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

NC also. Found this yesterday. My son and I went for the first swim of the year. It was just lying there at the end of the path like it was waiting for us. Most of the ones I find here are not this big.

Nice quarts point! I have yet to finf one, I'm actually a Kansas boy myself just come out to visit family for a couple weeks. Theres alot better variety here in Carolina than what I'm used to!
