Found this in the bottom of the pan. Need help identifying

Hi guys, i have been crushing some quartz and have panned a small sample down and have been left with this pink kind of silvery gold color next to the edge of the pan it is heavier than the sulfides you can see. I hav

It appears to look like a gold flake . One way to find out !
Hi thanks for your help. How would i find out what it is? could i drop acid onto it or something?

A specific gravity test will point you in the correct direction . A scratch test (on a piece of unglazed tile ) give you another bit of info. Will it bend if you try to bend it or break apart ? These are a few pointers. and you can pan it and the gold being the heaviest material will stay or be the last thing to move when you pan it with same size material.
