🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Found what looks like an early copper. Any help is greatly appreciated

So I was working a strip next to a driveway at a very old site along the bayou and I pulled what looks to be an early copper. It measures roughly 32mm in diameter and I can see the ghost of a bust raised on one face. The other side is wiped clean or at least I can't make anything of it. Hoping someone here can see something I don't. Thanks!

Thanks. I had been looking through some different possibilities there but it's quite daunting and I've never pulled a super old copper like this before so I'm not well versed in how they wear. The size does help narrow down possibilities though. There was alot of activity from all over up and down the bayou here. French and Spanish and the like.

I would put in in a rock tumbler with 1/2 oz white vinegar ,small aggregate, and 5 ounces of water for a half hour. I have had good luck with old coppers doing this.

I was concerned with possibly losing what little details it had with cleaning more than a brush and soapy water but I guess nothing ventured nothing gained. I'll have to get me a small tumbler and give that a try.

I hope that helps. I have been using a small rock tumbler for years. It really helps I’d the old encrusted coppers.

Completely forgot I have a dry media tumbler for reloading. Might give that a go. If that doesn't work I was looking at a small one like that.

Take a couple more pics before you tumble it. Please don't take pics of relics in your hand. Lay the coin on a flat, medium dark, non-reflective surface (like a piece of fabric). Take pics straight on and from a slight angle.

After tumbling repeat the picture process. That will give us the best chance to ID the coin.
